The Chief Judge of Kogi State, Justice Nasiru Ajanah has died.
Justice Ajanah died in Abuja in the early hours of Sunday.
Ajanah who hails from Okehi local government area of Kogi State died after a brief illness at the age of 64 years.
His death comes few days after the Kogi State Government lost the President of the Customary Court of Appeal Justice Ibrahim Shaibu Atadoga after a brief illness also.
Reacting to Ajanah’s death, the State Government said the passing of the legal luminary is a massive blow to the government and people of Kogi State.
In a communique by Hon. Kingsley Fanwo – the Commissioner for Information and Communications, the government said the Chief Judge will be remembered for his brilliant justice administration throughout his career as a Judge and his tenure as the Chief Judge of Kogi State.
The statement further noted that the late Justice will be sorely missed for his tenacity of purpose and outstanding commitment to the sanctity of the temple of justice. “He was a colossus in the noble profession of law,” the statement partly read.
While assuring that it will work with the family of the late Chief Justice to give him a befitting burial, the state government said Ajanah’s shoes will be impossible to fill. 📹: @channelstelevision

Ahead of the planned reopening of airports across the country, the Minister of Aviation Hadi Sirika has stated that passengers on international flights may have to be at the airport five hours before their flight’s takeoff.
The Minister who said this during an inspection of the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja and Murtala Mohammed Airport in Lagos on Saturday June 27, said they are putting the necessary equipment in place to help passengers adapt efficiently to the new normal and ensure that time is not wasted.
Sirika said “We will announce all the protocols again before opening. But you need to be at the airport three hours ahead of your flight. The experience is quite nice but it takes a bit of time which is why you will need to be at the airport three hours before your local flight. For an international flight, we may do five hours.”
On profitability of the aviation business upon the resumption, the Minister said; .
“Those new norms are coming and we will implement them in such a way that flights are profitable. The World Health Organisation and the International Civil Aviation Organisation have developed protocols of the sitting.”

Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers state says he is happy about the crisis rocking the ruling APC and prays that the party continues to make mistakes and remain in crisis.
Wike, a chieftain of the PDP, said this in a recent interview with Arise TV.
“I am happy that APC is in crisis. It is not my business to help APC to be united. Remember that we also had our own crisis under Ali Modu Sheriff and APC jubilated about it then. It is my prayer that they should continue to be in crisis. We have taken another state. Unfortunately, APC isn’t really a political party. They came together just to take overpower.
I want my party to be in power and therefore, I cannot be praying for APC not to have crisis. I hope they continue to make mistakes everyday and my party will continue to grow” he said
