Two UN officials In Isreal Suspended Over A Viral Video

Two employees of the United Nations mission in Israel have been suspended without pay after a viral video featured a sex act in their official vehicle, as it drove down a major street in Tel Aviv.

Recall that in the 18-second video, a woman in a red dress was seen straddling a man in the back seat of clearly marked white UN vehicle. Another man appears to be asleep in the passenger seat.

In a statement released on Thursday July 2, the UN said the men in the video have been identified as staff members of the United Nations Truce Supervision Organization (UNTSO), UN military observers based in Israel.

Stéphane Dujarric, the spokesman for the UN’s secretary general said the two staff members have been suspended without pay until the investigation into the incident has concluded.

Dr Clare Wenham, assistant professor of global health policy at the London school of Economics, appeared on BBC via video call for an interview, however there was a pleasant distraction in the background.

During the video call to discuss the Coronavirus pandemic on Wednesday, July 1, Wenham’s daughter, Scarlett, is seen in the background trying to position a photo frame.

BBC newsreader, Christian Fraser then engaged Scarlett in a conversation and the girl decided to take the conversation further.

The parish priest of St. Isidro Labrador in the City of Mascupana, Mexico escaped being killed on Sunday June 14, after being attacked while using a car with an open roof to carry the Blessed Sacrament to residents of the city amid the Coronavirus pandemic.

It was alleged that a motorcyclist tried shooting a home made Rocket Bomb at the priest’s Car to knock down the Holy Sacrament which the Catholics believe is the real Presence of Jesus Christ, the sacrament of His body, blood, soul and his full divinity.

The bomb however exploded, destroying the motorcycle and killing the rider

The Nigeria Federal Government Has Increased Fuel Price From N140.80 To N143.80.

The Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency has announced a new price band of N140.80 to N143.80 per litre for Premium Motor Spirit, also known as petrol.

Sources at the Abuja headquarters of the agency said the rise in petrol price was primarily due to the increase in global crude oil prices.

A circular released on Wednesday July 1, from the PPPRA to marketers reads;

“After a review of the prevailing market fundamentals in the month of June and considering marketers’ realistic operating costs, as much as practicable, we wish to advise a new PMS pump price band of N140.80-N143.80 per litre for the month of July 2020.

All marketers are advised to operate within the indicative prices as advised by the PPPRA.”

The federal government, in March, announced that the retail price of petrol would be adjusted monthly to reflect realities in the global crude oil market. On May 31, 2020, the PPPRA announced a price band of N121.50 to N123.50 per litre for the product.
