Nigerian man held as collateral and tortured by dreaded Pakistani gang thanks Nigerians for coming to his aid.

The Nigerian man who was filmed being tortured by a dreaded Pakistani gang after he was used as collateral has been identified as Ekenedirichukwu Innocent Chima.

A video of him has been released to assure Nigerians of his safety after a group of wealthy Igbo men came to his rescue and contacted the gang leader, Nuruz, to let him know that they will pay to secure Chima’s release. They also assured Chima that they will not abandon him in Pakistan.

Apparently, their video was shown to Chima and he also recorded a video of his own to thank the Igbo men working to save him.

He said he saw the video and thanked them for their kindness. He also thanked Nigerians and assured everyone that he’s still alive.

Recall that Chima was used as collateral by a man named Andrew. However, Andrew absconded afterwards and the Pakistani gang tortured Chima and threatened to kill him on July 10 if Andrew doesn’t return with their money.

The attention of the Honourable Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, SAN has been drawn to a mischievous, deceitful and perfidious publication by the notorious factory of fake news in Nigeria, the Sahara Reporters with an intent to spread lies.

It is regrettable that the information communication technology tools have been hijacked by disgruntled elements in spreading fake news and blatant lies.

The report by the media is a clear violation of ethical journalism practices on verification of facts and authentication of claims. It evinces lack of professionalism and exposes rash and reckless presentation of figment of imaginations shrouded with bigotry and bundled with sentiments of unscrupulous questions.

For instance, who is the vendor of the purported house bought for the son of the Minister in Abuja at N300m? Where is the so-called mansion located in Abuja? Where are the title documents?

While refuting the claim, Malami said “God knows that I did not purchase any house for him in Abuja. Not even a rented house was secured for my son in Abuja, because he has no plan to live in Abuja

FBI kidnapped my client from Dubai — Abbas’s Lawyer

Hushpuppi’s lawyer, Gal Pissetzky, has accused the FBI of kidnapping his client in Dubai and taken him to the U.S.

In a chat with BBC, the lawyer said United Arab Emirates has no extradition treaty with the United States.

According to him, Hushpuppi, who posts on Instagram about his extravagant lifestyle, was not a criminal and had made his money legitimately.

“He is a social media influencer with millions of followers, with millions of people that respect and loved him, and he loved them, and that’s what he did. In today’s society, that’s a business,” he said.

Pissetzky told BBC that: “In my opinion, the FBI and the government here acted illegally when they kidnapped him from Dubai without any legal process to do so.

There was no extradition, there were no legal steps taken, there were no court documents filed, it was simply a call to the FBI. He is not a citizen of the United States, the US had absolutely no authority to take him.

If Dubai wanted to expel him, they should have expelled him back to Nigeria. I’ve never heard of anything like that. That is the real story here.”
